Aviva made a series of figures distributed through Woolworth's & Co. (a .05¢ & 10¢ store) based on a rather obscure TV Show in the 1970s called Space Academy. The figures are approximately 8.5 inches tall, except for Loki who is scaled down because he is "kid size". The figures were based on the main characters of the show and there were Isaac Gampu (you might remember the actor from "Lost in Space" as Dr. Smith), Chris Gentry, Tee Gar Soom, and Loki (who was kind of an android boy). These characters have an inherent weakness in that the joints deteriorate over time and just fall apart. The plastic also gets very brittle. I tried to re-string one once and it just fell into pieces.
