Bogi
Bogi is another company from Europe (Italy?) that produced some
nice 8 inch figures. These included a female action figure series,
a cowboy series, and a few others. The figures are boxed, come
with a decent amount of accessories depending on the figure(s),
and are not easy to find. I have also included a very rare and
hard to find series of figures you put together yourself that are
about 1.5"-2" tall. Bogi made them as "Little Play
Kid".
When I lived in Italy as a kid, they came in a different box (I
remember it being colored more like Playmobile called "Super
Charlie". He was a soft plastic character that came on a "tree" (like
styrene models) and you put him together, even putting the TINY
little pegs in for his eyes. He came in all sorts of professions
from police officer to fireman, farmer, mechanic, etc. When I was
7, I later received for my birthday about a 5 inch version of the
same figure in a long set with a bunch of cowboys and indians.
They are not truly "Mego-like", but they are very cool
and rare action figures nevertheless.

The
8 inch Demo Girl line had a full line of figures boxed in different
outfits. They/she also came in a few different varieties (blonde,
brunette, etc). All packaging for the figures was window boxes. See Ceppi Ratti's version "Beba Alta Moda"
which is essentially there own twist of outfit of the same figure.

Card |
A very interesting figure! He is based on a very popular clown in Europe. This
8 inch character comes on a blister card with some interesting accessories: outfit,
hat, big clown shoes and flowers. There is rumor that there may be several varieties
of him in different outfits.
Nov.19, 2005: Rumor confirmed! This head and body
were also used to make at least 6 different clown figures for the company Ceppi
Ratti. They called them "Dondy - Il Clown". You can see them by going to the
Ceppi Ratti page by clicking here.

of Parts |
At 5 centimeters (about 2 inches) tall, he's a rather small poseable action figure.
He is pieced together after removing the parts from miniature plastic trees.
He came in all sorts of professions: Bricklayer, Doctor, Fireman, Painter, Carpenter,
Cook, Mechanic, Miner, Policeman, Artist, Farmer, and Soldier. All of the bodies
and parts came in a variety of colors. For example, I have 5 farmers and
4 are in different color schemes. He was also known as "Super Charlie" in Italy
(I had him as a kid) and came not only in 5cm, but in a 4-5inch figure as well!
*** Note:
I am looking for these heavily, so if anyone
has any or can help me find them, let me know and receive a reward!
