Gabriel

Gabriel produced 10 inch action figures based on the Lone Ranger character. The figures were well articulated and came with great outfits and accessories, down to their six-shooter guns which were made to fit in their specially molded hands. Most of the accessories were rubber instead of plastic and were therefore more durable. The rubber mask that came with the Lone Ranger was usually lost quickly. Tonto of course was the Lone Ranger's good friend and a part of the set. Butch Cavendish, the bad guy, was also a part of the set. Then there were the additional characters: Red Sleeves, El Lobo, Little Bear, and Dan Reid. Both Little Bear and Dan Reid were in scale as young boys. There were of course the horses that were available too. Also, these figures have come boxed and carded in most cases. El Lobo and Tex Dawson were the "European Issue" figures to the set.

Hands down the Gabriel Lone Ranger 10" series had some of the best outfits, best accessories and playsets. They really seemed to put some effort into the toys they made and the package art was nice too. These toys were also distributed under Marx Toys and Hubley as well. You may see their logos on some packages reflecting this.
