At eight inches tall, Judah Maccabee comes on one of the biggest blister cards I have seen for a figure his size. His body is pretty well articulated. His head sculpt belongs to Mego's Blackbeard the Pirate. His green boots are the same style as the Mego superhero boots. The clothes are unique as well as his cheap, flimsy plastic shield. The card on both front and back have a brief story/history of who the Maccabees were and their mission to take back Jerusalem many years ago. This figure also came with a ring for the kid who bought him to wear. Interesting enough, a fellow collector brought a picture to my attention of a pirate purchased in Europe with the exact same head sculpt and body. It appears this figure was made into several flavors of characters and sold throughout the US and Europe at least. Judah Maccabee happens to be one of the few Jewish heroes made into an 8 inch Mego-like figure at the time. .
