Toy Biz

Toy Biz released some 9 inch (they claim 8 inch) action figures with great posability and authentic clothing. Actually, the figures are pretty much "modern Megos". The clothing is difficult to remove without taking the figures apart. They also are quite a bit loose in the joints and do not always stand that well. They did have a cool feature where one hand (usually the right) is a fist and the left is open. They came in window boxes with a hinged cover that was held in place by velcro. There were several series released with a mail away offer for "Aunt May" and some exclusives released through Target or KB Toys as "2 packs".

Toy Biz also made three wrestling figures. The wrestling figures never sold that well and you could find them on clearance at KB Toys for years. All in all, the window boxes with velcro closure made the packaging rather collector friendly. It's a shame they never finished making other figures they had planned.
